Project Description

GlaMBIE-2 aims to extend and improve GlaMBIE-1 through a second main experiment and provide a revised community estimate of annual glacier mass changes for all glacier regions.

The second assessment also includes two pilot studies. The first will investigate the systematic differences between methods identified in the first GlaMBIE study. The second will explore the potential for GlaMBIE to address hydrological themes and provide a basis for a future global assessment of the impacts of glacier change on both sea level and the water cycle.
